Willie Allshire has an old-fashioned approach to producing free range outdoor pigs and Irish Angus cattle. His aim is to produce quality meat with flavour; this is achieved by rearing our animals as nature intended, slowly. 

We have been included in The Bridgestone food lover's Guides to Ireland - The Shopper's Guide; were awarded the Best Artisan of the Year Award on Megabytes, in February, 2002. 
Rick Stein has also included our company in the Irish Directory in his latest book, "Food Heroes". 
Other than that we have been privileged to welcome Seamus O'Connell when he was filming his latest cookery series for RTE1 television; and Eamon O'Cathain, whose programme will be televised, "Bia's'Bóthar" was on TnaG in September, 2003. We have been delighted to welcome a few groups of students by prior arrangement.  David Storey also wrote about us in the Farming supplement in the Irish Examiner in 2003.
